In their villages, most Sakaldwipi own agricultural land tilled by landless laborers. Each Sakaldwipi family has its own deity and they worship ancestors. Their sacred specialists are from their own community. As priests and astrologers, the Sakaldwipi Brahmin have a patron-client relationship with other communities. Brahmins must be reached in a way that they understand. Brahmins need to learn about Christ one step at a time.
